Neighborhood: Denver’s Uptown-City Park

Getting There: From Downtown Denver(3.5 mi from Convention Center to destination)

  • Take E. 17th Ave. to York Street.
  • City Park sits between E. 17th Ave. and E. 23rd Ave. and between York St. and Colorado Blvd.

There are path, fountains, lakes and playgrounds throughout the 330-acre park that houses the **Denver Museum of Nature** **and Science** and the **Denver Zoo**.

ü **SpiritWays**- Big selection of candles with healing powers, lots of books about astrology and positive energies, dream catchers, and clothing
ü **Plastic Chapel**- A designer toy store that is the best place to go and grab a last minute, one of a kind, gift. Every second Saturday they have an amazing art show. A great place for the toy nerd (ok, that’s me) and it’s located next to a cupcake & cereal store called “The Shoppe”

  • **St. Mark’s Coffee House**- If you really love coffee, then this is the place for you. It’s said to have the best cappuccino outside of Italy. The cafe is quaint & comfortable with a nice outdoor seating area. (2019 E 17th Ave 303-322-8384)
  • Le Peep- Ok, it’s a chain, but it’s good and it’s right across the street from the park! (1875 York Street 303-399-7320)
  • **Parallel Seventeen**- A modern interpretation of Vietnamese cuisine. From City Park it’s a bit of a walk (6 blocks west on 17th) but it’s great for a weekend brunch.
